We have been working for Visit Britain since 1996. We’re responsible for the destination brand and suite of Accommodation Star Signs (the National Quality Standards Scheme) seen throughout the country – a brand identity that we’ve consistently refreshed and developed since the year 2000.
This knowledge was put to good use in creating a harmonious brand identity for the primary promotional campaign (Enjoy England) and then England’s tourism body itself (Visit England).
The challenge: The Visit England brand was a loose amalgamation of images and logos with no defined identity. It needed a cohesive brand for it to be able promote England at home and abroad.
The solution: Working with the brand manager Vineet Lal we set up the foundation of today’s Visit England brand and created a set of brand guidelines, for use both internally and externally. The guidelines covered, vision and key messaging, tone of voice, the use of photographic imagery, typefaces and logo positioning. It has helped marketeers within Visit England to confidently deliver targeted campaigns to this very day.
